Periodic table flashcards: elements 1 to 36
76 free flashcards for the first 36 elements, hydrogen to krypton: symbol to name and name to symbol, each with its atomic number, checked against PubChem.
Every card checked against the sources below.
What’s in the deck
- All 36 elements from hydrogen (1) to krypton (36), the set behind every “1-36” deck students search for.
- Both directions: symbol to name and name to symbol, 72 cards, with the atomic number on every answer.
- The 4 odd symbols: sodium (Na), potassium (K), iron (Fe) and copper (Cu), and where three of them come from.
Watch out: Mg is magnesium and Mn is manganese, and Co (cobalt) is an element while CO is carbon monoxide, a compound of C and O. Capital letters matter.
How to study it
- Learn in rows: the 2nd and 3rd rows (lithium to argon) first, then potassium to krypton, adding the next 8 or 10 cards only once the last ones stick.
- Spread it out over a week rather than one night: a few minutes a day beats an hour before the quiz.
